Russia’s registered unemployment at historic low in Aug 8–15
MOSCOW, Aug 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s registered unemployment shrank by 2,420 people over the week from August 8 through August 15 to a historic low of 684,760 people, Labor and Social Protection Minister Maxim Topilin told reporters on Monday.
“The condition of the labor market shows a deficit of labor force. People that were born during the post-war baby-boom are leaving the market, and the low-numbered generation of 1990s is entering the market,” he said.
In 2017, the number of unemployed people registered with employment services amounted to 784,260 people as of August 15.
